Just five turn up here but this is a very good contest and a tough one to get right, with the vote going to ON THE HIGH TOPS, while Bathwick Bear and Boundless Spirit can be the next two home. The form of Chiswick Bey's debut win does not look as strong as some in the contest, while Orientalist was a shade disappointing after winning at Nottingham on her first run, being well held at Newmarket earlier this month. He has a bit to prove but could be suited by this stiff 5f. Bathwick Bear has yet to be tried on fast ground, so he has to prove himself in that regard, but his form looks very solid in the context of this race and a win would be no shock. Bryan Smart saddles Boundless Spirit, who stayed on well to win at Hamilton last time and is another likely to appreciate this stiffer test, but the one for us is On The High Tops. The Kheleyf gelding took the measure of a couple of better-fancied colleagues first-up at Newcastle and looked destined for better things. He is upped in class for this race and with the stable still in form and as one proven on the ground we will stick with him.
