With Geoff Harker in good form and Silvestre De Sousa riding this course so well Burns Night can get competitive despite his big weight as he has gone well here in the past. Ian McInnes loves a winner on his local track and Irish import Mutamaleq should be losing his maiden tag soon as he's slipping to what looks a very fair mark. A spell of hurdling appears to have done the trick for Lindoro who gained his second recent victory on the Flat at Thirsk and is still very well treated on his best form. Flying Applause is consistent enough but better handicapped on the all-weather while Mandhooma is a specialist at Brighton. EMERALDS SPIRIT hasn't shown much in two starts this month but she had some strong form over this trip in the autumn and a chance is taken that she can return to her best in a tight affair.
