In a competitive race, we will short list First Rhapsody, Kew The Music and Spanish Law and side with Spanish Law. The downside to the selection's chances is that he has yet to race this season but, only lightly raced, he was beaten a short head by the subsequent 63-rated winner Ignition on his final start last season and, racing off a mark of 53, could be well handicapped. First Rhapsody made late gains behind Attacca when they were fourth and first, respectively, at Musselburgh on heavy going last time and, given that he is five pounds better off and better drawn today than his rival, he can go well. Kew The Music also gets a mention because he still looks reasonably weighted, even though he does not win that often, and he comes here fit. With a low draw rated a disadvantage over today's trip at Beverley, we have kept away from the likes of Gem Bien and Just Bond, but Burton Ash, who remains winless, would hold claims based on the best of his 2005 efforts. Watch the market with regard to the others but the vote stays with Spanish Law.
