In depth

Verdict

Muqadam is the confident choice in this maiden with Evening Affair and Musical Land others to consider. The selection finished second behind Milne Garden here last time and the form looks solid enough as they came 12l clear of the rest of the field. This looks a good opportunity for him to go one better and get his head in front. Evening Affair could be the fly in the ointment as she may be better than she showed on her debut when third behind Safwa. She looked one-paced that day so she will need to improve to get her head in front. Musical Land was a good second behind Jibajaba last time and although a reproduction of that effort would give him strong claims, he has been a bit hit and miss in his racing career so far. Mounafes has only had one run so should not be dismissed lightly. but Muqadam sets a fair standard here and looks the one to be on.
