There should be no hanging about here - which will suit Jedeydd, who ran a blinder from a poor draw here earlier in the month and will have too much of a finishing punch for Border Artist and Cryfield if he is in the same frame of mind. Having said that, Mallard also ran a good race on his reappearance at the start of this month and did enough to suggest that he can get competitive if he gets the gaps in running today. The six-year-old is a multiple winner on the all weather but has also gone well enough on turf to suggest that he is no back number here. The track is the big concern for him though as he will do very well to gain a prominent position from the absolute worst of the draw. Therefore, we switch our attention to Jedeydd as he obviously took a liking to the course when finishing fourth here at the start of this month. Now on a 1lb lower mark, there is no reason to suspect that he will not go well again and, with the ground expected to bring the best out of him, Jedeydd looks the most reliable option in a race that is little better than a seller. Senior Minister and Weet Watchers are others that go well in this company and are others to bring into the equation if the price on Jeyedd allows a few more corners to be covered.
