    In depth

    Verdict

Sofie Tucker deserves to get her head in front following three placed efforts in three starts in maidens and, given her pedigree, the cut in the ground may help Tim Easterby's filly who gets the vote ahead of Rhuepunzel and Jibajaba. The last mentioned has shown promise in both starts and has to be respected but probably needs to improve to trouble the selection. Ducal Pip Squeak should come on for her debut spin at Newcastle on similar ground to today, while Sunburn has shown only a glimmer of ability in two starts so far. Gerard Butler's Rhuepunzel showed promise on her only start at two and has to be respected on her reappearance but Sofie Tucker is the clear form pick and she gets the vote.
