Mystery World, Esprit d'Amour and Citoyen are the shortlisted trio in this maiden and the narrow vote is given to Esprit d'Amour. The selection hails from the Tim Easterby yard who have been in fair form and this well-bred filly will not have to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning racecourse debut. She is well-drawn here and if the market speaks in her favour then it could be worth getting stuck in. Mystery World rates the main danger and this colt from the Mark Johnston yard merits plenty of respect on his racecourse debut, but he will find life tough today from his low draw. Citoyen was well beaten on his debut but that was in a better race than this and with the benefit of that experience under his belt he should not be dismissed lightly, although once again he is not ideally boxed. Our Toy Soldier showed a modicum of ability on his debut and he might be capable of running into some place money today, but for the winner we will stick with the newcomer Esprit d'Amour.
