It is hard to get away from Bridge Place in this modest company and the son of Polar Falcon is confidently expected to cope with the challenges represented by McEldowney and Wolds Dancer, who are open to improvement and are expected to put up the most resistance. Mac Cois Na Tine should also be up to winning a race of this nature in time and is another to watch out for in the betting. However, Bridge Place has slowly started to get the hang of what is required of him after completely missing the kick on his debut run. His last two outings have posted signs of promise and he will not be presented with many easier opportunities to put his experience to good use. McEldowney is obviously no stable star but is expected to have learnt enough from his debut run at Hamilton to give the selection plenty to think about. But Bridge Place showed good speed when he was just run out of things at Windsor and a similar effort will make him very much the one they all have to beat tonight.
