Verdict

Summer Charm has been a model of consistency and can land the finale at the expense of Golden Gate and Emma Lilley, with Legally Fast worth a mention. Summer Charm only saw the racecourse for the first time last August, but since the turn of the year, has only been out of the frame once in five starts. The daughter of Dansili caught the eye at Windsor last time when second to Hawk Arrow, and appears reasonably handicapped today. Alan Munro now sits on her for the first time, and hopes are high that she can register a first win on Turf to add to her two all-weather successes. Golden Gate is going the right way and should also run well, having stayed on over 10 furlongs at Nottingham. The same comment applies to Emma Lilley who was third in a big field at Leicester, while Legally Fast will find conditions more to his liking than when third to Bay Story in heavy ground at Haydock. Ann Duffield won this last year with Prairie Sun, and with husband George now retired, has booked Robert Winston for topweight Finland. The market may prove the best guide to that one's chances, but Summer Charm has the best form overall and is the selection.
