Curtain Bluff hails from a stable in form and can beat Arnprior, with Kahramana and Bachelor Affair worth noting as well. Mick Channon has his team in very good shape at the moment, and so Curtain Bluff is taken to step up on his close second to Cashier at Thirsk 10 days ago. A half-brother to several winners, he now qualifies for a handicap mark, so it is interesting that his trainer runs him in a maiden again and the move can pay off. Arnprior was beaten by a 100-1 shot at Redcar last time but did have the favourite back in fourth. It is difficult to know what to make of that form and she could be worth opposing. Kahramana is a half-sister to lots of winners and any support for the Newmarket raider should be noted, while Bachelor Affair has more experience, having raced twice as a juvenile in fair company at headquarters. She should be placed to good advantage in time as well, but with fitness assured, Curtain Bluff is the pick.
