Gudlage is a well handicapped horse and duly obliged last time at Pontefract under todays rider. However this drop back in trip is not sure to suit and preference is for Willoughby's Boy - with the proviso that the ground doesn't soften up. Willoughby's Boy goes well round here, has a talented pilot up and should relish the step back to his optimum trip after staying on stoutly over seven furlongs last time. Nod's Nephew has to be respected in these contests and is another to like the course whilst Beau Sauvage also has a good pilot on board but is basically modest and may have to settle for a place at best.
