In depth

Verdict

Only five runners here but a trappy affair nevertheless with marginal preference being for Regent's Secret. Richard Hannon's representative has run a number of good races in defeat, most notably when a close third in a competitive nursery at Newmarket last week. There appears little reason to doubt Regent's Secret's appetite for the game and he should go well. Audacious, a half brother to Derby winner Oath doesn't look anything special but ran respectably when third on his debut at Catterick and should progress along with Jacaranda who was run out of it close home in a tight finish at Windsor a fortnight ago. Any money for the newcomers Squire Michael and Kew The Music would be significant.
