No three-year-old has won this in ten years so Art World faces a stiff task on his handicap bow after landing a Thirsk maiden. Hoofalong looks an obvious choice after his demolition job at Pontefract where he quicky went into the lead and just drew further away. Not surprisingly he's turned out quickly under a penalty but he's drawn on the wide outside and that's usually the kiss of death here. Tom Sawyer was drawn 3 when coming with a late burst to complete a double here last month but has an outside berth to contend with this time while Pearl Noir is up 5lb after beating three rivals at Doncaster. SEE VERMONT was narrowly beaten three times in succession in mid-summer on this track before scoring at Chepstow and, with the draw in his favour, can finally score on the track after several near-misses.
