      Verdict

On the evidence of his performance at Chester on Thursday Hormuz will take all the beating again today. He likes to dominate his field and is significantly well drawn enough to make a bold bid to tow them along. He 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him and now could be the time to strike before he is reassessed. That said there are dangers aplenty and the shortlist must include Tony Tie, Bon Diamond and Cryfield, who would have a good chance on the pick of his form.
