      Verdict

Low numbers normally have a distinct advantage though any further softening of the ground could have the opposite effect. Wicked Wilma is badly drawn as she attempts a four-timer and it will be very difficult for her to succeed from stall 14. Sands Of Dee is another who isn't well berthed while track specialist Caranbola is in the middle and looking a couple of pounds high in the weights. Chosen One ran much better at Pontefract last time and has dropped to a decent mark but a chance is taken on a return to form from MEY BLOSSOM. Richard Whitaker's mare was in tremendous form last season and her victory in this race was her fifth of the campaign. She has been running in decent handicaps this year and is drawn well enough to grab a coveted rails position. Eastern Hills has had 15 runs on the all-weather since he last scored on turf and that was on heavy ground so further rain would aid his cause.
