Verdict

Blackburn, a son of Elusive City, and Top Cop, a half-brother to the useful Desert Law who still holds an entry in a valuable sales race at Doncaster next month, look the most interesting of the newcomers but experience may hold sway here. DAUNT ran his best race so far when third to Compton at Windsor last month. That form was franked when the winner finished second in a better contest at the Thamesside track on Monday evening and Richard Hannon's colt can get off the mark here at the main expense of Yarmouth fourth Bewilder, who may need further.
