In depth

Verdict

Mount Usher, Our Teddy and Edas are the three to shortlist here, and Mount Usher is taken to score for the second race in succession. Top weight Edas has shown little this season but has slipped down the ratings and is dropped in grade here. A winner of a ladies' race at Folkestone last year, it would not be a surprise to see an improved effort here at a nice price. Our Teddy has not won for three years but is another who has slid down the handicap. He turned in an improved effort at Leicester last time and can show further improvement here. Mount Usher has by far the best recent form in the race, having scored on his seasonal re-appearance at the track and then doubled his winning tally for the season with a good win at Newcastle last time. Mount Usher looks to have a great chance of following up.
