Magic Pulse is three from five on the all-weather since November but only scrambled home at Southwell and the assessor may have caught up with her. Equitant made a successful debut over the course and distance in August but never had the same fast going in subsequent races - he can do better with the ground drying out quickly. Big Brave Bob won a minor race at Southwell over 6f but couldn't go the pace when dropped back slightly in trip at Bath. FEEBS very nearly made all over an extended 5f on soft ground at Wetherby so today's trip and quicker going can enable him to hang on this time. Wrenthorpe showed good pace in all three starts over 6f so this trip looks certain to suit while Tim Easterby would love to win this and Life For Rent didn't appreciate soft going at Ripon after winning here on fast going in September.
