ARCTIC FEELING broke the track record at Southwell on debut and is fancied to bounce back with a win here at the main expense of Clipthorne and Malgoof. Richard Fahey won this race in 2008 with Master Noverre and he holds a strong chance today with this Camacho colt. Although beaten at Thirsk on his second start he was then only beaten by four lengths in the Norfolk Stakes and a repeat of anything like that will see him extremely hard to overhaul. Black Moth was a further four lengths behind him at Ascot and is now fitted with blinkers for the first time, Clipthorne has had her Catterick form franked but that is at a more lowly level, whilst Tro Nesa's beating of No Poppy (sent off 40/1 on debut) has not been franked by the second and fourth home. Of more interest then might be the newcomer Malgoof. His sire Kodiac has made a bright start with his first batch and any market support on debut would have to be taken seriously given his trainer's decent record at the course with his juveniles. This looks a good opportunity for Arctic Feeling to get back to winning ways.
