Barraland is fairly treated again but Pennyspider appeals as a more progressive type and gets the vote with Enodoc perhaps best of the rest. Malcolm Saunders has done well with Crimson Fern this season and, although this filly may not reach the same heights, she certainly looks capable of winning races. The form of her recent course and distance third reads well enough in the context of this race and she must hold a leading chance racing from the same mark. Barraland won from a 2lb higher mark earlier in the year but failed to improve for the fitting of a visor last time and may be best watched until showing signs of a revival. Enodoc was well backed and hard ridden to score from Miss Firefly (2lbs better off) at Brighton last month; he was due to race at Great Leighs on Tuesday night but is not without claims if allowed to take his chance here. Lambrini Lace won here on her penultimate start and can be given a chance on that form but Pennyspider may have more to offer and receives the vote.
