SOLAR GRAPHITE is the selection with Foxhaven and Dove Cottage served up as the dangers. It is a worry that John Dunlop's stayer has been off the course for a while but with a third to Becausewecan at Newmarket reading well; we are prepared to overlook the absence and row in accordingly. Foxhaven is a listed winner and won a claimer on reappearance. He clearly has issues in relation to his ability to stay sound though Pat Chamings has his string in good order at present. Dove Cottage took advantage of the handicapper's leniency when dotting up off a mark of 66 at Folkestone. He faces a tougher task off 74 and may have preferred a little more give underfoot. Headline Act often misbehaves in the prelims so a careful note of his demeanour before the race is advised. Hajman ran a shocker at Windsor and is better than that effort suggests. Pelham Crescent can be forgiven a below par run on soft. Plenty of plausible winners and to the smallest of stakes, Solar Graphite is put forward as the most likely.
