Michaels Pride can make the journey from Middleham pay off, with Della Salute, Polar Dawn and Hoh My Darling likely to prove troublesome. Mark Johnston has placed Michaels Pride to good effect this season, the daughter of Distant View having now won four times this season. After landing a few nice bets at Beverley at the start of the month, she was due to go to the Newmarket sales, but turned up at Hamilton and lost nothing in defeat with a close second to Millagros. That shows that she is still bubbling, and with Kevin Darley on board again, she can oblige before the handicapper takes a grip. Della Salute has topweight and has yet to race over 10 furlongs, but the way that she is patiently ridden suggests that she should get the trip. She should certainly turn the tables on Polar Dawn for a narrow defeat at Chepstow if staying. Hoh My Darling will go on the ground but the stable is not in great form at present, and we prefer the claims of Michaels Pride.
