Verdict
Shiva Adiva is the chief beneficiary of the conditions of this contest owing to her cheap purchase price and Tom Dascombe's filly has shown more than enough to suggest her owners will be repaid their relatively small purchase price in the near future. It could be said she was disappointing last time in what was an ordinary Yarmouth maiden but she does show plenty of toe in her races and her second at Salisbury reads particularly well in the context of this race. Any drying in the ground would favour her as the soft surface and six furlongs seemed to find her out on her penultimate start. Queen Sally found the bottomless ground at Haydock and step up to six furlongs beyond her last time but is better judged on her third placing on debut at Haydock where the second Evelyn May later franked the form in stronger company. Edgeworth takes a step back in trip from his debut. He didn't appear to see out the final furlong first time out when ridden with restraint but showed enough promise to suggest he has the potential to get involved here. Song Of Praise ran better than could be expected on her first start in a nursery but appeared unsuited by testing conditions at Chepstow. Call Me Courageous has ample experience but needs to step up considerably on what he has shown up to now. Shiva Adiva has the most solid credentials in receipt of weight all round and is the selection.
