Verdict

Lipocco, Southandwest and The Light Fandango are on the shortlist and our nod goes to Lipocco. Lipocco does have a poor draw to contend with this afternoon but with previous racecourse experience at this esoteric track - an overdue maiden victory can be anticipated. Southandwest did not stay six furlongs last time out and is swiftly dropped in trip. The Light Fandango was an expensive purchase by Ron Harris' standards and could be worth a look if there is any market confidence. Related to a number of winning juveniles - her breeding gives few causes for alarm. Star Strider was ignored on debut and with the Balding horses enduring a mixed time of it of late, it could be prudent to oppose. Whipcord failed to capitalise on an eyecatching first run and is dropped back in trip as a consequence. A poor race in which Lipocco holds obvious claims of breaking his maiden.
