Rouen looks to have been found a decent chance to break his duck here, with Grand Prix an obvious danger, Lipocco likely to improve and Cashcade an interesting debutante. The selection has put in three decent efforts so far on ground slower than this and any of those runs at Redcar, Windsor and Ripon - the latter over six furlongs - would probably be good enough to take this weakish maiden. Given that those three runs have all ended in defeat though, it would seem foolish to be lumping on and he is no certainty. Grand Prix returns to the c&d of his debut and Richard Hannon's colt is capable of improvement on that two length second to Alternative and could give the selection most to do. Lipocco was another debut runner up here at Bath and is clearly open to plenty of improvement, though he will have to find plenty more to win this, and we prefer Rouen to come good.
