Paul and Megan Nicholls teamed up to win this staying handicap 12 months ago and QUEL DESTIN (NAP) looks thrown in this year on a mark of 66. He’s had just three runs on the level but won a Grade 1 hurdle at Chepstow last winter on soft ground. Though he’ll be back over timber shortly, this looks too good an opportunity to miss. Master Grey is an honest sort but is looking a few pounds too high at present. Land Of Winter has shown his best form on Fibresand but today’s going shouldn’t be a problem whereas Cochise will have to prove he handles conditions. Arthur Pendragon shapes like a stayer and has had wind surgery since last seen so is probably best of the rest.
