BATELEUR runs this track well and Mick Channon's gelding is selected in a tricky finale; the shortlist is made up of Fyelehk, Swinbrook and Mandhooma. The selection's form figures at the track read 114 with the latest run coming in July. He was only beaten by two lengths on that latest run having met trouble in running but if he gets a clearer passage today then he should go close off this mark of 66. Fyelehk has been holding his form well all season and although he was an expensive failure last time he cannot be overlooked, along with Triple Dream and Miss Firefly who are both consistent and will give supporters a run for their money. Caustic Wit is out of form but he knows this place well, Mandhooma won nicely at Brighton last time and his jockey's claim negates some of his 5lb rise, whilst Espy has been frustrating to follow this season. Finnegan McCool has been keeping better company this season, Milne Bay needs some respite from the handicapper, whilst Swinbrook's latest wins have come in claiming company and although he doesn't look poorly treated off 74, he may just find one or two too good. William Carson knows Kyllachy Storm well and has won on him before, however it is Bateleur who can taste glory.
