Verdict

Fair Sailing is preferred to Miss Porcia and Classic Blue in a tricky end to the day's proceedings. The selection showed promise in qualifying for a mark in three runs last year and was arguably a shade disappointing on her return to action at Yarmouth last month. However, she's entitled to come on for that run and is bred to appreciate the step up to middle distances and she may have made sufficient progress to be more competitive here. Classic Blue still has something to prove on grass but has been in good form on artificial surfaces and merits respect with her yard enjoying a decent summer on the level. Miss Porcia comes into the race on the back of a decent effort at this track and looks capable of getting into the mix again whilst support for Artzola would put her firmly in the picture but she has done most of her racing on the all-weather as well. Not an easy race to call but hopefully it will prove to be Fair Sailing for our selection.
