BLUSHING MAID will find this a fair bit easier than the Listed company she kept last time and is the selection to get the better of Bahamian Ceilidh. Blushing Maid has had just a handful of starts thus far and won over course and distance on firm ground 11 months ago. She was only seen out once after that, when thrashed in that Listed Salisbury contest after being awarded a mark of 70. At these weights she has as good a chance as anything and better than most from that rating and with the yard among the winners we will side with her. Bahamian Ceilidh is another who should handle conditions. She hasn't yet lived up to her early promise and is sliding in the handicap as a result, although her shrewd trainer Tom Dascombe may have her next win up his sleeve as a result and she looks like being bang there tonight. Matterofact has been a good servant to connections and she appears to act on any ground. She is only 2lbs above her best winning mark and is entitled to be very competitive. Pinball has firm ground form and from a lowly mark and with first-time headgear would be very interesting if supported, Bohobe has to prove herself on the ground, while Final Rhapsody is more interesting and open to improvement now stepped back up in trip. It's a tricky end to the card and the suggestion is Blushing Maid.
