Verdict

JACK THE TRUTH concedes weight to all rivals but has returned in good shape from a break, posting a solid Chester effort before scoring rather cosily here last time under Callum Shepherd. He has a 4lb penalty but the combination can back up that victory in the hope that the usual hold-up tactics prove effective in this relatively small field. Smeaton's Light was a disappointment here latest but is better than that and his overall profile affords him every chance, whilst Watchya drops notably in class from his last run, although there is the possibility this trip may prove a little short. The remaining trio can all have claims advanced on their behalf in an open affair, with course and distance winner Ruby Cottage making most appeal with Harry Davies claiming his valuable 5lb.
