The consistent Noble Calling and recent Warwick winner Moonshine Beach both have to be respected in the finale but a chance is taken with Donald, who may appreciate this longer trip. Mark Pitman's gelding shaped well over course and distance on his British debut in May and has run with credit over shorter trips in two starts since. The handicapper has given the gelding a chance dropping him to a mark of 52 and, back over today's trip, he gets the nod. Noble Calling by comparison has been creeping up the weights despite not winning and looks to have too much to do so a bigger threat may come from Moonshine Beach. The six-year-old beat the better fancied Darn Good at Warwick on Thursday and is turned out again quickly under a 5lb penalty. That race may have taken quite a bit out of the six-year-old though so he is passed over. Galandora would need to put up a career best performance to trouble the judge, while at the bottom end of the handicap Giko needs to prove that he fully stays this trip. Knight Of Silver and Deo Gratias are both interesting back on the flat having been running over hurdles but preference is for the latter's stablemate Donald, who looks well treated on his return to this distance.
