      In depth

      Verdict

Fulke Johnson Houghton's Reminiscent is back off the same mark as when a close second at Leicester in May and is taken to give weight away under Carol Williams in this lady riders' race, with Burnt Copper and Lazzaz rated the main dangers. The last two mentioned are closely matched on form at Pontefract in a similar contest over 10 furlongs last week and there should not be a great deal to choose between the pair again over this slightly longer trip with narrow preference for Burnt Copper. Piste Bleu is now 1lb lower than when landing a selling handicap at Ripon in May and has to be respected if she can recapture the same sort of form again, while Ambersong has the assistance of the useful Sarah Bosley and is another worthy of a mention. Stablemate Compton Aviator and Jamie Osbourne's Vandenberghe are others that warrant respect but Reminiscent is back on a fair mark now and, with Carol Williams up, he gets the vote.
