Verdict
Laurel Dawn has been in good form of late but has suffered at the hands of the handicapper as a result and preference is for High Ridge, who gets the verdict over Glencoe Solas. The last mentioned has run with credit off the same mark as today in each of her last three starts and Sylvester Kirk's filly is entitled to be thereabouts again. She rates a bigger threat than John Best's Leicester winner Somerset West, who has been raised 6lbs for that latest success. Of more interest may be James Toller's lightly raced Wyatt Earp, who has been given a break since winning at Newbury in May and is only 2lbs higher now. Aintnecessarilyso seems to be a shade high in the weights now and preference is for Milton Bradley's High Ridge who has held his form well since scoring over course and distance last month.
