Matteroffact and Bathwick Alice both have horrendous draws so it could pay to side with Bernie's Beau. Reg Hollinshead's filly has plenty of early pace and although we do not suggest that she will improve, she can take full advantage of a favourable low draw. Second at Ripon over five furlongs; she showed enough early pace to suggest that she will appreciate things here. Bathwick Alice would have been the pick if lower drawn. Rod Millman's filly has been the model of consistency over six furlongs but should be speedy enough to make her mark over five. She may struggle to repeat the victory over Matteroffact as she has already won over course and distance. Prettilini has been unable to repeat her heroics in the Super Sprint at Newbury and is opposed. Lake Hero has precociousness throughout her genes but her winning run has stopped sharply. The blinds are reached for in hope of a return to form. Miss Lovat has ability but is difficult to catch right. Low draws are preferred at Bath and Bernie's Beau can take a competitive nursery.
