In depth

Verdict

Natural Force looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account but the half-brother to mud-lark Street Life is far from certain to handle today's faster ground and it may be worth taking a chance with Gateland, who is preferred to Crimson Flame. The last mentioned has been unfortunate to come up against the well-handicapped Anna Pavlova in a couple of nurseries of late but has disappointed in his last two starts and he may be best watched. Andrew Balding's Pinch of Salt has shown only a modicum of ability so far and of more interest may be John Gosden's Diktatorship, although he is far from certain to stay this trip. Sharp Duo needs to improve as does Gateland but Walter Swinburn's colt caught the eye having been slowly away at Lingfield on his debut and there could well be more to come on his first start on turf.
