Shortlisted here are Vanquisher, Duty Free and Spice Bar and the selection is Duty Free. Duty Free showed improvement when stepped up to 12 furlongs for the first time last time and, had he handled Lingfield's contours a little better, he may well have finished closer. He can make them all go today. He may be a little quirky but at least Vanquisher has earned his rating by dint of his efforts rather than educated guesswork and he is entitled to some thought today. Spice Bar has shown promise and, because of his lack of gears, a step up to 12 furlongs could well help him today. Colonel Flay was seen staying on over ten furlongs last time and is another that could benefit from the step up to today's trip. Snake's Head did not seem to handle Lingfield last time so this more-conventional track might help her to build on earlier promise. Converti seemed to show improvement last time but had earlier been beaten in a seller. Hypoteneuse is bred to be better than she has so far shown and Up In Arms has a place claim based on his best recent efforts. Finally, Irish Quest is certainly bred to be a lot better than he has so far shown, while Mowadeh is among those that can show improvement now they are sent handicapping, as are Sister Agnes and Muraco but, for the selection, we will stick with Duty Free.
