In division two of the maiden, Pivotal Answer is selected ahead of Ideally and Tweed River. Much as Ideally was disappointing last time, he comes into the reckoning based on his second to Shmookh at Warwick the time before, and he has chances of staying today's trip. Pivotal Answer looks a big player based on promise shown in two placed efforts in his career to date, while Tweed River is an interestingly-bred newcomer. Vincenzio's Windsor effort last time brings him right into it, although it will be interesting to see how he copes with the step up in trip today, and Compton Falcon has shown enough to be given some sort of a chance. Of the others, Always Sparkle has shown some promise, while Storm Path made the frame at Catterick last time, but that rates only as modest form and it came over seven furlongs, and Torba's Chepstow placing last time also rates as modest. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Pivotal Answer.
