Jagged can get losses back over a host of rivals including Florian, Willheconquertoo, and Elvina. Although not done any favours by the draw here, Jagged still has the best credentials, having opened his account over five furlongs at Southwell before failing to last out the trip on a return there a fortnight ago. Still slightly better treated on Turf than the all-weather, he can make amends with a bit more restraint from today's pilot Ted Durcan. Florian also ran out of steam at Brighton when trying to make all over seven furlongs, and similar tactics may be tried again here, so he is not to be ruled out. Willheconquertoo takes a further drop in grade and is extremely well-treated on his old form, whereas Elvina in contrast is still learning the game. Her Kempton victory owed much to Frankie Dettori though and it is worrying that she is plunged to this level on only her third start. Compton Banker has seen better days but could take a hand as well, and we shall rely on Jagged.
