Sierra Vista had a brilliant 2005 and she can make a winning return this afternoon, Jewel In The Sand and Angus News are also expected to run well. David Barker's mare improved leaps and bounds last season, winning on five occasions. Her final success came at Newmarket in October, easily beating stable companion Meccas Mate in a class two handicap. She has also gone well in Listed company as well and so she looks to have very strong claims here this afternoon. Jewel In The Sand was a top class juvenile but only raced once last year. She has obviously had a few problems but if back to anywhere near her best she would go very close in this company. Angus Newz has certainly improved from two to three and although race conditions suit the older horses at this time of year she should still be involved in the finish. In a terrific contest Indian Maiden and Nigella are also worthy of a mention, but on last year's form Sierra Vista has to be the selection.
