    Verdict

A tightly-knit handicap in which Casilda gets the vote over recent winners Fair Gale and Cosmea. There isn't much between many of these but the feeling is that the drop back in trip today will see Casilda in a better light. William Knight's daughter of Cape Cross ran a fair race in defeat behind Downhiller at Newbury and she can take this downhill race today. Red Icon is consistent but has been unable to taste success this season and connections reach for the blinkers, whilst Roger Charlton hands Barricado the chance to wear a fetching visor; they both may improve for the headgear. Marraasi races off a nice low weight but doesn't appear anything to write home about, whilst Fair Gale and Cosmea both impressed when winning recently but each has a tougher task today with more weight. An open affair, but top-weight Casilda gets the nod.
