Kayf Keel has shown promise in both starts over hurdles and she has to be respected but Richard Phillips has struggled to have winners this term and she may be best watched, with preference for Double Mead, who gets the vote over the newcomer Missoula. The last mentioned is a potentially interesting recruit to the novice hurdling ranks and comes here having won a handicap at York when last seen in October so has to be respected in what does not seem a strong contest. Alan King's Spring Dream may do better on a better surface today having been well held on testing ground on her hurdling debut at Leicester. Charlie Mann's Figurita could be of interest but it is hard to evaluate her form on the level, while market more for another hurdling newcomer Kangrinaa would be interesting. The vote though goes to Kim Bailey's Double Mead who has progressed from bumpers and shown promise in both starts over hurdles, form that she is taken to progress further from here.
