In depth

Verdict

Jimmy Byrne, Kentucky King and Master Nimbus are three against the field in another open affair and the narrow vote is given to Kentucky King. The selection was a fair third behind Kirkham Abbey last time out. The drop in trip looks sure to suit and he looks the value bet in a trappy affair. Jimmy Byrne rates the main danger on his best form but he is far from fluent at the obstacles and at likely odds he looks worth opposing. Master Nimbus is another worthy of respect on his bet form but he has a tendency to pull hard and if there is any more rain that may find him out. Gaelic Roulette won well on his debut but this looks much over and he will needed to have improved again to win this off this mark. Of the remainder Jack Durrance is from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to Kentucky King.
