In depth

Verdict

Pequenita Harry Potter and Rifleman are three against the field in this tough race to call for punters and the narrow vote is given to Harry Potter. The selection won well last time out when beating Dhaudaloupe and although he has a penalty for that win he won with plenty in hand and he is taken to defy the handicapper under conditions that suit. Pequenita rates the main danger on her latest second behind Friendly Request but that was a falsely run race and she looks vulnerable off this mark. Rifleman is another that could well on his best form but he was disappointing behind Weston Rock last time and is beginning expensive to follow and for that reason he is opposed. Earls Rock was a fair second behind Lake Merced last time and is another with place claims but that form has since been let down. Of the remainder Wise Tale has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but he may need the run after a 326 day absence and for the winner we return to Harry Potter.
