The Major (NZ) Came back to form when winning at Uttoxeter last time, connections put previous poor runs down to his disregard for the fences; good chances today if jumping holds together.
Shardante (IRE) Has won on various ground over various distances. A little bit in and out on his form, has not run since February; best watched on return.
Nordic Prince (IRE) Well beaten when running out of the handicap last time. Running his best races last autumn including when C&D winner. Soared in the handicap from 86 to 115 after his win at Warwick; at this level must have a chance.
Lord of The West (IRE) This horse was out of form all last season, had his best form from '96-'98 and achieved a top rating of 139; now aged 12 he is does not seem to be the horse he once was.
Justjim Has been running well since return from March, beaten 6L by Sulpher Springs lat time; cannot be ignored today.
River Don Jumping let him down on his last start, goes better on a sounder surface. A horse who has problems; if all in order then should go well.
Nova Champ Has been right in form since returning this season, won last time out at Plumpton; cannot be ignored.
Livin It Up (IRE) Only had one run last season where he PU, has credible form but this was a long time ago.
The Lady Scores (IRE) Has won five chases, some decent placed form over the spring; cannot be ignored.
