Peerless Motion (IRE) Won a maiden over this trip in heavy at Taunton (reported to hate testing ground). Coped with better conditions at Newton Abbot when third, beaten 2L; valuable claiming jockey mans he must be for the short list.
Atalya Won a hurdle over 2m at Wincanton on soft ground in Feb, was put up 12lbs in the handicap. Looks to be consistent, was third behind Fireball Macnamara but be too high in the weights.
Cupboard Lover Won at Taunton in Jan on second start over hurdles, was given a rating of 118 for that effort and has since made his way back down the handicap.
Kaid (IRE) Won at Hereford a year ago in soft, well beaten here C&D latest, has been on the decline rather than the incline, but does return after a break.
Pharly Reef A winner over hurdles two years ago, has not tackled them since, and flat form not inspiring.
Stone Cold Blinkers made no difference to this horse last time. A winner at Sedgefield in February, put up 12lbs and may be too high in the weights now.
The Flyer (IRE) A winner last year in heavy ground at Uttoxeter, subsequently ran poorly in handicap hurdle but can be put down to jumping errors.
Three Weeks Won at Ludlow in soft ground in December, was put up 14lbs and has failed to produce anything decent since.
Zurs (IRE) Won a hurdle two years ago. Having dropped in the handicap was third to Apadi at Worcester; place chances.
Passing Wind (NZ) Beat Caxton Star C&D in August, but giving him over a stone in weight. A much improved performance after six months off; a revived horse who, if he continues his latest form must go well.
Allegiance Back to back wins last Nov, but has failed to reproduce that form
Moon Glow (IRE) Second penultimate start at Plumpton to Present Bleu when blinkered for the first time. Put up 8lbs for that; only ran tenth subsequently at Hereford earlier this month.
Miss Lacroix Has not won since December on soft ground. Ran out of the Handicap at Market Rasen last time; form does not look progressive.
Saint Ciel (USA) Uninspiring on the flat and over hurdles; others preferred.
Big Trouble Fell last time at Aintree but not in contention, little else to recommend him.
