Buddy Marvel (IRE) Has not run for nearly a year, when in good company at Cheltenham and Aintree. Top rating of 141 over hurdles, and has proved capable of going over fences, although beating nothing of particular note. Has a bit to prove on return from lengthy absence; should go close.
Jacdor (IRE) Despite having won two chases, last four runs suggest that confidence has been lost; this needs to be found again.
Manasis (NZ) Won a Hunter Chase really well at Doncaster last time, making it back to back wins having beaten Minster York by 16L the time before, seems to be a course specialist at Doncaster; might be a bit sharp today, both distance and track.
Kassala (FR) A winner in France but has been disappointing since joining Alan King. Was fourth behind Hisar at Stratford in August, but by a distance; improvement needed to win this today.
Hang'em Out To Dry (IRE) Very in and out form. Has not won since November two years ago. Ran in the winter but really disappointing, looks to have lost his way.
Your Punishment (IRE) Was second on her chasing debut to the Irish horse Union Wood. Switched to fencing no problem, and her run at Perth coming off a hurdle win at Worcester suggests she must have a good chance today.
Passereau (FR) C&D winner in heavy ground. Has been disappointing over longer trip, so will appreciate the drop today, but has not been travelling well in last few starts; others preferred.
Sir Williamwallace (IRE) Has only had two starts for new trainer, and he does not look like lending himself to winning ways.
