Yes Sir can complete a hat-trick in the day's feature race, with Darrias, Tulipa and Calorando put up as potential dangers. Whenever Peter Bowen and Tony McCoy team up, you can expect them to go close, and indeed the six-year-old's last three victories have been gained under the champion. His last two back-to-back wins at Kelso in May were gained in facile fashion, and since then he has been rested, so returns to the fray fresher than most. He once again looks the one to beat, with the equally in-form Darrias expected to give him most to do. Paul Nicholls' four-year-old has won his last four races and is progressing along the right lines, but will need to improve a good few pounds to match the selection. It will not be too long before Tulipa recaptures last summer's form, and he should certainly be kept in mind for the near future, while Irish raider Calorando has claims on his slightly unlucky fourth in the Galway Hurdle. The locals will be cheering Yes Sir on though, and he can justify the support.
