In depth

Verdict

High Grounds was a disappointing favourite at Wetherby over Christmas and Loch Garman Aris is a chaser who is 0-8 over timber. Tim Pat finished ahead of a subsequent winner when second at Wetherby having placed in a couple of Uttoxeter maidens before that but Fevertre reverted to type at Catterick having finished runner-up at Carlisle earlier. BALLYBEEN was well backed at Chepstow last month but couldn’t keep up he gallop in the closing stages. He looks potentially well treated on a mark of 100 on his handicap debut.
