      Verdict

      Alpha Carinae and Belle De Manech both need to put poor runs last time behind them but ALLAVINA (NAP) showed a lot more at Leicester last month, despite finishing third of four. This is her first-ever run in a handicap and she gave weight and a comprehensive beating to Fortunes Melody over hurdles at Perth last April. The latter, along with Fantastic Lady, was well behind Belle De Manech at Wincanton in December but Nicky Henderson’s mare then won at Warwick, though the second that day has been beaten again since.
