In depth

Verdict

The market should reflect the chances of the three newcomers but this looks between the trio with experience. Maggie O battled on well to get off the mark on her third start in the pointing sphere, but the performance of ROSE IN THE PARK when a 12-length winner on pointing debut in March in a large field reads as the better form. Brian Hughes is booked and hopefully the market speaks well of her chance. Madam Ryder took time for the penny to drop on bumper debut before staying on for a mid-division finish and improvement seems assured. Nicky Henderson has few peers in bumper contests and she commands the utmost respect.
